An astounding evening of music featuring the premiere of MSU Graduate Composition student Ben Hackett’s Passacaglia conducted by MSU Graduate Student Amy Wilcox. Bruce Yurko will conduct his composition, Rhythmic Changes, and John J. Cali School of Music Director Dr. Robert Cart will appear as the soloist in Cecile Chaminade’s Concertino. In addition, the MSU Wind Symphony will present composer Joseph Turrin’s Concertino, featuring eleven public school and private teachers as soloists. The program will also include music by Bernstein, Copland, Persichetti, and Schoenberg.
*Undergraduate students at MSU receive one ticket at no additional charge to every event through the Performing Arts Fee. Tickets may be reserved at the Alexander Kasser Theater Box Office, with a valid student I.D.
