A.I.M by Kyle Abraham is now presenting another premiere: In CASSETTE VOL. 1, paying tribute to the music of the 1980s and early 90s when pop music became omnipresent in public life. To the soundtrack of a decade, the dancers show through rousing choreographies how pop music shapes society into a universal experience. With multifaceted movement material inspired by postmodern icons such as Trisha Brown and the evolution of queer culture in the 80s, Abraham creates an exhilarating evening in homage to nostalgia and camp.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Philippe Petit’s death-defying high-wire walk between the twin towers of New York City’s World Trade Center in 1974, come watch Man On Wire, the award-winning documentary about his illegal crossing, what some consider “the artistic crime of the century.” Based on Petit’s 2002 book, To Reach the Clouds. This 2008 film won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. It also won the Academy Award® for Best Documentary Feature. Directed by James Marsh.
